The Power of Faith
I bring you warm greetings from the Everlasting Covenant Church of God in Christ. It’s Pastor Charles Ewing here, and I am filled with gratitude today, giving all the glory, praise, and honor to our Almighty God. For truly, there is nothing too hard for Him. Can I get an Amen? God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good. I am so thankful for all the blessings He has showered upon me, and in the mighty name of Jesus, I give thanks for another day—a day that I’ve never seen before. His grace, mercy, and loving kindness have carried me here, and for that, I am grateful.
Today, I want to speak on something that we often need to remind ourselves of: The Power of Faith. It’s easy to say we have faith, but do we truly trust in God with all our hearts? I’m reminded of the wise words of Bishop W. Morris from Morris Temple Church of God in Christ in Milwaukee years ago, who often said, “Have faith in God, for He can do what none other can do.” Amen to that! We, as the people of God, are called to live by faith. The Bible says, “The just shall live by faith,” and this faith is woven throughout the entire scripture. It’s the foundation of our trust and confidence in God.
Thank God for all of you tuning in and listening today. If you feel moved to give, the Cash App is up on the screen. Remember, when you give, you are sowing into the Kingdom, and the Bible says it is more blessed to give than to receive. Give as unto the Lord and watch Him bless you abundantly. As I mentioned last week, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.” God is faithful to His promises, and He will never go back on His Word.
Let us pray. Eternal Father, God in Heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus, we give you all the praise, glory, and honor for who you are. We exalt you, magnify you, and worship you. There is none like you in all the earth. Have your way, Lord, in the midst of those watching from afar, in different cities, and even here with us today. Touch their hearts, touch their minds, and anoint their ears that they may hear and receive your Word. Anoint their eyes that they may see and believe. Heal the sick, raise the dead, and deliver those afflicted in their bodies. We believe in total healing and deliverance. For those who do not know you, Lord, we ask that you enlighten their understanding and draw them unto you that they may accept you as their Lord and Savior.
We pray for the governments of this world and this nation. Touch their hearts and minds, Lord, and show them their need for a Savior. Move through the atmosphere, through the land, and convict your people. Break down every yoke upon them, remove every blind desire, and reveal their transgressions in the mighty and wonderful name of Jesus. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable unto you. Amen.
As I reflect on the title of today’s message, I’m reminded of Hebrews 11:1, which says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith, my brothers and sisters, is the foundation of our relationship with God. It is the means by which we trust Him, even when we cannot see the outcome. Just like when I bake a pound cake—a cake made of many ingredients—I take the butter, eggs, sugar, and flour and mix them together. These are the substances, but the cake is not yet visible. It’s the same with faith. We may not see the final result, but we trust in God’s promises, knowing that He will bring it to pass.
I thank God for all of you who faithfully listen and support. I am constantly praying for you, believing God for total restoration in your lives. We must have faith, not only for ourselves but for others as well. God can do all things but fail. Amen.
As I close, I continue to believe God for the restoration of my voice. I know He will do it in His time. I am His mouthpiece, and I trust in His Word. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Thank God, Amen.
Let us continue to live by faith, trusting in the One who is faithful to His promises. The Power of Faith.
God bless you all.
We Give because God Gave
